Heart Devices

Three common devices to help treat or manage heart disease are:

  • Pacemakers (including Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy)
  • Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators (ICDs)
  • Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs)

Your healthcare team can help you know if one of these devices is right for you. It will depend on your heart condition and how well your heart is working. These devices can improve how well your heart pumps (Learn about heart failure) and can correct problems with your heart rhythm (Learn about arrhythmias)
