If you had a heart event (such as a heart attack) or a heart procedure (such as an angioplasty or heart surgery) you were likely given lots of information about what happened to you. However, you may not remember everything that was said to you when you were in hospital as these events tend to cause a lot of stress and anxiety.

You will then be in a better position to start taking control and managing your heart disease. There is so much you can do to help yourself. Getting active, eating healthy and looking after your emotional wellbeing are all part of your recovery and will increase your quality and length of life.
