Get Active

Be active to help manage your blood sugar.

  • Know how to exercise safely.
  • Spend more time being active and less time sitting.
  • Create an action plan to get active.

Being active will help you manage and prevent diabetes.

Being active means doing:

  • more walking in your day-to-day chores
  • more physical activities that you enjoy
  • more aerobic exercise
  • more resistance training
  • less sitting

It can seem hard to add physical activity and exercise to your day. Even small changes in your activity can improve your health and help manage your blood sugar.
